What is The Hillcrest 100?
The Hillcrest 100 follows the proud tradition of other 100 clubs
across the United States. The concept of the 100 Club was born
in Detroit in 1952. Following the fatal shooting of a young
Detroit officer, William M. Packer, the owner of an automobile
dealership wrote to 100 of his friends encouraging them to
donate to a fund for the fallen officer. The response was 100%.
100 clubs have subsequently been established in many other states.
The 100 Club of Arizona serves their entire state while the Houston
100 has over 20,000 members. Locally, the Shaker 100 and Beachwood
100 were formed in the 1960's, and Solon and University Heights also
have chapters. |

What does the Hillcrest 100 do?
We are a non-profit corporation, operated by
private citizens, which comes to the financial aid of our First Responders
in the event they encounter unusual or extraordinary financial difficulties.
It is our sincere hope that we never have to be approached for a loan or grant,
but we're like an insurance policy in the event our First Responders need
a place to turn in an unexpected crises or emergency situation. We offer
help when it is needed most. This is your opportunity to protect the First
Responders who come to work everyday to protect you and your family. It's a special
way of expressing your gratitude to the First Responders of our communities.
Officers and Trustees of the Hillcrest 100 serve without pay and do not expect any special
favors for their time and effort.
